Over the last year being upon pause, I’ve been considering a lot about the places I have been, the cities I have lived in and the individuals I’ve encountered. That is, all things considered, the beauty of travel. For me it offers never been about the react of travel in a carrying out sense – boarding the flight, packing a travel suitcase or preparing a list of areas I want to see. For me, it offers always been about connection. Regarding chasing a feeling of finding – through places, individuals, and challenging my own prejudices. So when I was asked to participate the Helsinki Freedom advertising campaign to share why I discover freedom in Helsinki, We started to realise just how much this particular city has impacted myself.

The first visit to Helsinki

I very first discovered Helsinki around our seventeenth birthday when I journeyed to Europe for the first time. On my following visit to Finland, I invested four days in the town. There was something so ideal that brought me back again that I couldn’t explain. The environment was crisp and the heavens were a soft shade associated with blue, but it was much deeper than that. Everyone I actually met seemed to be on their own rate of recurrence, co-existing in a city that will never felt too hectic or too forced. Every thing just felt like it was in the constant state of movement.

The reason why I fell in love with Helsinki

Since getting asked to write about exactly why I find freedom within Helsinki, I’ve come to some conclusions. Firstly, I really enjoy this city. Not only being a gateway to Europe yet I could even imagine me personally living here. And it required writing about why I discover freedom in Helsinki to find out why exactly.

Within Helsinki, one of the main things I discovered was the support for young adults in small businesses. These are usually cafes, bespoke restaurants plus one-off boutiques. And that is the best freedom for me. Being able to go after whatever dream you have plus feel the support in doing this.
