Milan is one of those metropolitan areas that doesn’t instantly expose its treasures to website visitors. Talk about a concealed gem! This place seems like an innocuous office prevent from the outside but head to the rooftop of Ceresio 7 and you enter a marvelous space. With 2 swimming pools and a stylish restaurant plus bar, it’s one of the favourite places to visit within Milan.

This particular Milanese hotspot is the creation of Dean and Serta Caten, the creative company directors of DSquared2, who also provide their business headquarters within the building, as well as an exclusive member’s gym and spa.

Take a peek from this level at the striking new structures springing up, including Straight Wood, awarded most innovative high-rise in the world. One of our favorite places with outdoor seats here is REDDISH la Fetrinelli – aka Read Consume Dream.

It is a cool bookstore cafe that will does a great value weekend break brunch. If you fancy the gelato, head to  Grom , also on  Piazza Gae Aulenti.

6. Terrazza 12 at John & Barry

Another place which is frequented mostly by local people is Terrazza 12 on Brian & Barry upon Via Durini. The reason is without a doubt due to it being saved at the top of this uber awesome department store. With a decor influenced by the 1950s, it’s an excellent place to sample one of their own signature cocktails whilst appreciating the panoramic views more than Milan.

9. Un Posto a Milano

Finally, we could not leave without a mention of the favourite outdoor dining within Milan experience…  El Posto a Milano is a renovated seventeenth century farmhouse in the center of the city.

This kitchen, bar plus guest house is operate by a group of Milanese organizations and hosts a regular plan of cultural events in addition to a farmer’s market each Wednesday. Definitely one of the best restaurants within Milan for al fresco dining!

If you’re lucky, you might get the seat in the greenhouse once we did. The dessert revealing platter is not to be skipped but all the food, using its emphasis on local produce plus traceability, is equally impressive…
