The Milan style shows, which have joined makes in the #strongertogether exhibition task, have decided to cancel the particular physical trade fairs prepared for March 20 via 24, 2021 at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition centre.
Away from respect for the participating businesses, visitors, buyers and press representatives, MICAM Milano (the international footwear trade show), MIPEL (the international occasion for leather goods plus accessories), TheONE Milano (the women’s haut-à-porter show), LINEAPELLE (the showcase of revolutionary leathers, fabrics, accessories plus components) and HOMI Fashion& Jewels Exhibition (featuring bijoux and fashion accessories) came to this painful decision in spite of all the organisers’ best initiatives and determination.
Under Italy’s Prime Ministerial Decree regarding the Covid pandemic, physical industry events are prohibited until Mar 5, 2021, and even when such events should be permitted from March 6 forward, it would not be possible to ensure the quality and prestige which have come to be associated with the events. Much more importantly, the large number of customers from all over the world that have provided these events their respected status worldwide could not be anticipated to attend. International limitations upon travel and health limitations would not allow thousands of people to travel safely to Fieramilano Rho as they normally perform.
The organisers continue to assistance the community they serve within the conviction that we can only conquer this difficult time if we interact, confirming that in the several weeks to come, we will still be #strongertogether.
For this reason, the particular organisers will be channelling all of their efforts and investments directly into digital initiatives over the arriving weeks; though virtual occasions cannot fully replace actual physical ones, this will offer exhibitors an opportunity to digitally present their own collections and the results of their own undeniable creativity.
