Gucci partners with Zepeto to personalise avatars and virtual world

Because the worlds of fashion plus gaming inch ever nearer together, Gucci has introduced a partnership with Zepeto, the app and social media marketing platform to personalize prototypes and create virtual worlds.
Zepeto allows users to turn selfies into 3-D animated prototypes, which can then ‘meet’ additional user’s characters on the ‘Zepeto Street’— virtual world regarding users to create and build relationships others. As part of Gucci’s cooperation, users will be able to dress their particular avatar in pieces through the House collections through in-app purchases.
The collaboration enables users to dress their particular Zepeto 3-D avatars within pieces from Gucci’s most recent collections and interactively discover the Gucci Villa room.
Other luxury brands which includes Valentino and Marc Jacobs have previously teamed up using the game Animal Crossing in order to expand social content plus reach.
