Back in November Fb and Instagram launched a good initiative to support Black-owned companies with the initiative #BuyBlack Fri.
The social media giant guaranteed to use its platforms to raise Black voices and companies and in February is partying Black History Month, increasing awareness and inspiring activity across the Facebook app, Instagram and Messenger.
Facebook can also be sharing an update for the commitments it made final June, including 200 mil dollars to support Black-owned companies and organisations as part of the broader 1 . 1 billion dollars dollar investment in Dark and diverse suppliers plus communities in the US.
Black Background Month will bring attention to Black-owned brands and boost in order to Black-owned businesses, many of which usually where buoyed by product sales during the civil rights protests. According to Google, searches for “Black owned businesses near me” reached an all-time higher last June. The objective is to keep the momentum heading.
