Great news today, Myriam Serrano, Chief Executive Officer, Alaïa announced that Pieter Mulier will be the Creative Movie director at Alaïa, effective instantly. His first collection is going to be Spring Summer 22.
Between October 2k and June 2005, Raf Simons taught at the University or college of Applied Arts within Vienna. During his period, Pieter was his pupil. He was such a great student that Raf offered him his first work after graduation and they worked well together first at Raf Simons, then Jil Sander, Dior and finally as Worldwide Creative Director at Calvin Klein.
We met Pieter in the year 2003 at breakfast the early morning after Raf won the particular Swiss Textiles Award from Gwand. It was a very psychological moment watching Raf reduced the catwalk with his hands around his two co-workers, one of them was Pieter Mulier. At that time Swiss Textiles provided the largest check for a style competition, it was 100, 1000 Euros. It was also the 1st time Raf showed his encounter.
